This Saturday, September 21st, gyms across the country will be celebrating National Gymnastics Day! This is a great opportunity to learn more about the sport of gymnastics and the healthy benefits that gymnastics fosters, while having a lot of fun. Many clubs are inviting the public to join the festivities with activities, games, fitness zones, entertainment and more! USA Gymnastics has encouraged any proceeds be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

“In 2012, the fundraising total for CMN was $121,899.70 and more than 43,000 people joined together to turn upside down. Since 2001, gymnastics clubs across the country have raised more than $1.8 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.” (USA Gymnastics)
So mark you calendars, invite friends (many families are looking for information to keep their kids active this winter), and take pictures (I’d love to see them)! You can find information about NGD events on Gym Gab’s facebook page or call your local gym. I will be adding information from host gyms on fb all week. If you’d like to share your celebration plans, leave a comment or email me.

“These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.” (Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals)
